Welcome to Topline Photography, run by Martin Punton and Dawn Shaw.
Martin has always had an interest in photography. His first job was working in an office editing photos and creating montages in Photoshop whilst also whilst travelling around the UK taking photographs within the mobile telecoms industry.
He also has an interest in horses – thanks to my parents having owned them in the past. This merged in with photography when attending local horse shows and admiring the skill of the athletes in equestrian sport (both human and equine).
He also started taking up horse riding in early 2023 and has enjoyed many dressage lessons, hacks and Common Rides in the borders.
Dawn has been around horses since she was born and started learning how to ride from around age 10. In her teenage years she began competing in the equestrian field; however, due to a bad fall on her back during a XC round, she no longer rides.
Having taken up an interest in photography during lockdown; she met Martin early 2025 and then grew her skills within the equine industry.
